Caught in a daze. A denim daze that is.
Part of my own creative process is bringing my own visions to life, which is why I love style blogging so much. I’m able to unite concepts and visions to create my own statement through style and share it with all of you!
I gather inspiration in an abundance of ways, wether it be a city view, a magazine article or a newly purchased article of clothing, it all sparks an idea painted in my mind. It’s one thing to write about what inspires me, however, bringing my imagination to life through photos allows such a great sense of expression. Which leads me to this post here.
Denim has been seen everywhere lately, from the runways at Fashion Week to the streets in every city, denim is clearly one of the world’s most favored textures. The versatility of denim has been inspiring my style a lot lately [check out my denim looks 1 2 3 4 5] and come to think of it, it’s always been a go-to of mine.
When I think of denim I think of it as I’ve always known it: an everyday favorite. From denim overalls at 6, bell bottoms at 10, skinny jeans at 14 and now a staple in my wardrobe at 20. Jeans, tops, shorts, skirts, jackets… I think you get the gist of it. Proving to never go out of style, I think i’ll always have a lasting bond with denim clothing because it truly does wear with you.
Denim exudes various moods as it’s worn, however the first thought that comes to mind when thinking about denim is a gritty attitude. Denim is tough and durable, yet it’s very unique to each individual. You’ll never have two of the same denim pieces and I like that sense of originality. This is what inspired these denim on denim college photos. I shot these myself one evening after the idea came to me and wanted to share with you.
