Break out your scissors and seam rippers and give your classic denim pieces an “under-makeover” with this unfinished look that’s oh so great. It’s everywhere lately… Denim denim and more denim. The comeback of the ultimate 90’s/early 00’s style has re-surfaced in a new, fresh and raw way. Here’s a bittersweet look with bows, lace and ripped, raw-edge denim.
A trend that has been re-inventing the way we do distressed denim and a current favorite trend of mine are raw hemlines. The frayed hem adds interest to an otherwise classic pair of jeans, a denim jacket or even a denim skirt that isn’t as harsh as faded, ripped denim. Subtle? Very. However, I feel like these easily overlooked details are the ones that catch my eye the most. It’s always about the details.
The best part? You don’t even need to go out and buy new jeans because this look has super DIY potential. Grab a pair of jeans you’ve subconsciously retired at the back of your closet and cut off the hems for a cropped style that’s right on trend.
