Hi my loves! Hope everyone is having a great start to their week and enjoying the summer sunshine. It was my birthday on the 17th and I ended up wearing this outfit to dinner with my best friend to celebrate. I hadn’t worn these heels yet (I was saving them for a special occasion, heh) and figured my birthday dinner would be the perfect night for them to make their debut ;P
I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who took the time to send me birthday wishes, I had the biggest smile on my face all day! It feels very strange to close the chapter on my teenage years and enter my twenties, however, there is an overwhelming sense of excitement for the unknown that I’m ready to explore.
I was writing in my journal the other night and reflected on everything that has happened during nineteen along with the beautiful memories I’ve made with even more beautiful people who I’ve been blessed to meet and I realized it was the year I started to not only find myself, but truly accept who I am. I whole-heartedly don’t think this would have been possible without fashion, it honestly is the most consistant part of me. When I felt a little lost and confused about myself, style was the only thing that made me feel like me and for that I’m forever grateful for this outlet to express myself. I can’t wait to see what twenty brings… thank you for joining along this journey with me.
You’ve probably noticed a lot of my looks give off the “not so simple, simplicity” vibe. I love when a piece of clothing can make a statement on its own. The lace up v-neck was the main focus, so I kept my accessorizes to a minimum with crystal earrings, a single gold ring on my thumb and silver accents. I’m absolutely in love with this open crisscross v-neck trend as of late – I wore a dress with similar details in a previous post, check it out here.
